Chhath is a four-day festival. It starts with Nahay - Khay. On this day, food is made by bathing with the holy water of the Ganges. On this day gram dal, gourd vegetable and roti are consumed. Nahai - Salt is not used in food after eating. The second day is known as Kharna. People who fast on the day of Kharna make prasad. Kheer is made in Kharna offerings. In this kheer jaggery is used instead of sugar. After worship in the evening, take this Prasad. Nirjala fast begins after eating prasad. Chhatha Mata is worshiped on the third day by the river. After the puja, the setting sun is offered with cow's milk and water. Along with this, special offerings of Chhath are made of thekua and fruits. On the last day of this festival, everyone's face blossoms as the sun rises. Argh is offered to the rising sun by men and women who fast. After offering Argh to the Sun, the fasting people eat Prasad and open their fast. After this, worship is done by distributing prasad among all the people.
