World Day of Social Justice- Varanasi Travel

Social Justice is very important for the survival of people prosperously. It also paves way for peace within nations and peaceful coexistence nations. Principles of social justice are upheld by the United Nations by promoting gender equality and the rights of indigenous peoples as well as migrants. Through Social Justice, all the barriers that prevent people to come up, namely gender, age, race, ethnicity, religion, culture or disability are tried to be eradicated. Social justice promotes fairness and equity across many aspects of society. For example, it promotes equal economic, educational and workplace opportunities. It's also important to the safety and security of individuals and communities. Social justice is the view that everyone deserves equal economic, political and social rights and opportunities. Social workers aim to open the doors of access and opportunity for everyone, particularly those in greatest need.   Social justice encompasses economic justice. There are four interrelated principles of social justice; equity, access, participation and rights.

The day was declared as the World Day of Social Justice by the UN General Assembly on November 26, 2007. On its 63rd session, it was decided to celebrate February 20 as World Day of Social Justice annually. The theme of World Day of Social Justice 2021 is "A Call for Social Justice in the Digital Economy". This year's commemoration supports efforts by the international community to search for solutions to achieve sustainable development, poverty eradication, the promotion of full employment and decent work, universal social protection, gender equality and access to social well-being and justice for all.
